Guterres was referring to the date June 5, 1967, when it all began, when the Israelis invaded Gaza to drive out the Egyptian troops.to colonize, not occupy, Gaza, that lasted nearly 40 years.

In 1987, the Israeli colonizers launched a bloody crackdown on the first Palestinian uprising against the way the people were colonized. The crackdown prompted colonized people to form an armed group to resist colonization.

After a 'freedom' of just two years, the Israelis and Egypt imposed a sea, air, and land blockade in 2007, while the transition from colonization only ended up in occupation, as Gaza and the West Bank are the State of Palestine, but have been under occupation since 1967.
