20250814 - Netanyahu claims that WWII began in what was then Czechoslovakia by an attack on Slovakia because of an import ban (with historical correction)
COMMENT
Following Slovakia's declaration of independence, the Nazis occupied Bohemia and Moravia on March 15, 1939, establishing the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, violating the Munich Agreement and effectively dissolving Czechoslovakia after the earlier annexation of the Sudetenland in late 1938. It has nothing to do with Netanyahu's utterance about "import ban."
The Nazis started World War II in September 1939, due to their extreme ideology focused on racial purity, supremacy, and territorial expansion (Lebensraum), which we also see the Israelis are displaying after they unofficially ended the ceasefire with Lebanon in November 2024 to occupy Southern Lebanon.
In the same period of late 2024, the Israelis invaded Syria to occupy Quneitra and Daraa provinces after the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime.
The hundreds of Israeli violations of the ceasefire committed in both Gaza and Lebanon, as well as the exploitation of the fall of Assad by invasion and occupation of parts of Syria, are related to elements marked in bold to achieve the goal of a so-called "Greater Israel," which ultimately also will include the whole of Egypt's Sinai and half of Saudi Arabia and Iraq.
