THE USE OF TECHNOLOGY
The Lavender system is an artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled decision support tool used by the Israeli armed belligerent to identify individual human targets for airstrikes in Gaza. Developed by the elite intelligence Unit 8200, it processes vast amounts of surveillance data to assign a likelihood score (1 to 100) of human targets of military interest to kill them with armed drones. The Gospel is an artificial intelligence (AI) tool used by the Israeli armed belligerent to rapidly generate targets for (drone) airstrikes in Gaza.
The Israeli armed war belligerent systematically refuses to distinguish between civilians and combatants by conflating everyone in Gaza as "military targets." International law, specifically International Humanitarian Law (IHL), absolutely prohibits using any technology to target civilians.
Robotics refers to explosive-laden robots and US-made M113 APC loaded with landmines, both used for demilition of buildings in Gaza.
International law strictly prohibits the use of any technology to intentionally target or destroy civilian objects. This prohibition is a fundamental principle of International Humanitarian Law (IHL), applicable regardless of the means or methods of warfare used, including emerging technologies like cyber warfare or autonomous weapons systems. Attacks can only be aimed at military targets but the war belligerent conflates everything in Gaza as "military targets." Civilian objects are shielded from attack.
