In reality, hasbara is exaggeration and dissemination, whereby exaggeration refers to intentionally making something more extreme or more dramatic than it is, while dissemination is spreading widely.

Modern-day hasbara is even suppressive as it prevents others to speak about what has been been done to the Palestinian people. It must be only about what has been achieved (against the Palestinians).
