Our view on the cause of the war

On October 7, 2023 Hamas carried out an attack that have surprised the Israelis the most. The attack has been dubbed as a terrorist attack which is not in line with the international status the Gaza Strip is declared by the United Nations, as occupied.

The non-politicized definition of an terrorist attack is those that is carried by an attacker who is resided in the territory where the attacker wants to carry out the attack. The attack must also taken place in time of peace.

1. Hamas does not have a presence on the other side of the fence.

2. The Israelis have never signed peace with the Palestinians (and Syria)

Based on developments which have happened from July 2023 to the day before the war, on October 7, 2023 Hamas carried out an resistance attack

The Israelis are war belligerent since they never signed peace with the Palestinians. This can be concluded by looking at the numerous warnings by the United Nations and to the Israelis, that acts and/or activities against occupied people amounts to war crimes.

Another reference is the answer that was given in January 2009 by the then spokesperson for the Israelis, Mark Regev, to the question if the Israelis are at war: "We are at war in all time".

Then, the reference of an interview by CNN from the same period in which Netanyahu is seen saying "Hamas must be destroyed".

Nearly all media describe the attack is "terrorist" which is not in line with the international legal status of the Gaza Strip that is described as "blocked" but by the United Nations described as "occupied".

The claim that the attack is of terrorism is (religionized) politically motivated and doesn't reflect with the reality when looking at the territorial situation the Israelis are holding Gaza in for more than 17 years, and when looking at the international legal status the Israelis are: they are still a war belligerent and still an occupying power.

There are no terrorist attacks when there is a never lifted territorial situation of occupation in Gaza since 2007.
