TRANSLATION with marked highlights

After nine months of fruitless searching for evidence of Israeli ‘genocide’ in Gaza, South Africa is asking the International Court of Justice in The Hague for an extension to present it. The deadline is 28 October, but the South African investigators have not been able to produce the evidence after all this time. Normally, countries that accuse others of genocide want a verdict as soon as possible, and it is the accused state that wants a delay. But that is in cases where there is evidence, which is simply not the case in Gaza.

The number of civilian casualties among the Palestinians is exceptionally low, compared to other conflicts. In a densely populated area, with an enemy that hides among civilians and does not wear a uniform, and where Hamas has stated that it wants to see as many civilians as possible as ‘martyrs’, a ratio of 1 killed terrorist to less than 1.5 civilians is remarkably low. In addition, Israel ensures that there is sufficient food and drinking water available in Gaza, which has averted a threatening famine. And now there is also a massive polio vaccination program underway, with all the vaccines shipped to Gaza via Israel and made possible by local IDF pauses in combat.

A delay gives South Africa more time to continue spreading the genocide lie and to further inflame international public opinion against Israel

In short, what objective observers have long known is becoming increasingly clear: the genocide charge is anti-Israel propaganda, developed and spread by Hamas, Iran and anti-Semitic Western activists. The fact that the South African plaintiffs at the International Court of Justice are now realizing this does not prevent them from dropping the case. Of course, a delay will not suddenly give them evidence, but it does give them more time to continue spreading the genocide lie and to further inflame international public opinion against Israel.

Meanwhile, the Jewish state is trying to get the US Congress to put pressure on South Africa to withdraw the case in The Hague. Members of the Senate and House of Representatives in Washington are being asked to revoke trade agreements with the South African state if it does not stop its legal witch hunt against Israel. The prosecutor at the International Criminal Court, also based in The Hague, still wants an international arrest warrant for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant as soon as possible. European and American politicians, however, accuse Karin Ahmad Khan of bias against Israel. In the US, sanctions are even being threatened against Khan and his family.

This article is completely false.

South Africa delivered its evidence for the case on May 16, 2024. The ICJ cannot make public announcements if no evidence is presented. Announcements are on the website of the International Court of Justice, that also includes 13 countries who have joiined South Africa's case against the Israelis.

Then, the Dutch headline is in English: "South Africa can't find evidence of genocide in Gaza, wants delay."

The Israelis don't allow any investigation in Gaza. That is why they stopped automatic visa application for all UN officials. They even banned foreign journalists in Gaza despite request by the CJP and 60 news organizations. The Israelis want full control over information.

The source adds only "(comma) wants delay" in its headline prompting the suggestion that South Africa want a delay while writing in the atricle "the accused state that wants a delay" The Israelis have not filed a request for an delay.

The source write: "The number of civilian casualties among the Palestinians is exceptionally low, compared to other conflicts."

When it comes to all Gaza Wars, it is the opposite. None of the previous Gaza Wars have reached such a staggering high number of more than 41,000 deaths and more than 94.000 wounded.

It claims "...with an enemy that hides among civilians, and does not wear a uniform"

Combat videos posted by the military wings of Hamas, and collected by us, constantly show deserted and destroyed urban areas. Then, a recognized regular army is obliged to wear uniforms to distinct themselves from civilians. Hamas, however, can operate in accordance to articles 43 & 44 of the Additional Protocol I of the Geneva Conventions, that its members carry their weapons openly during attacks and deployments. It is not recognized as an regular army but as resistance.

The rest of the article is also misinformation.

Now, who is the author?

The Dutch name of the source is in English "New Israelite Week Magazine". It claims it is an opinion and cultural magazine. They appear not to know that even opinions must be verifiable, correct in wording and accurate. It starts with the name it is carrying.

"Israelite" refers to a tribe with that name. The name is also misused by Netanyahu by saying "Remember what the Amaleks did to us." He actually claimed that Israelis are Israelites attacked and murdered by Amalekites, a tribe that lived in the Negev Desert. That's how the Palestinians became painted as Amaleks (= Amalekites) who attacked Netanyahu's "Israelites."

The ancient story tells the other way around: Israelites came from the south (Sinai). They attacked the Amalekites and murdered women, children and the tribe's livestock.

The Israelites where driven into the Kingdom of David who in return drove the tribe into the direction of the hills where the Jesubites lived. It is now Jerusalem.
