The Israelis are no strangers to violating ceasefire agreements.

The Gaza war from 2008 was triggered by the Israelis when they breached the 6-month ceasefire agreement under the false pretext that Hamas fired rockets. CNN, however, found out that no rockets were fired. The next ceasefire violation was that of 2012, when the Israelis assassinated senior Hamas official Jabrari by firing a missile at his car. They triggered the second Gaza war.

On November 27, 2024, in Lebanon, the Israelis opened fire on a group of journalists in the southern Lebanese town of Khiam, just hours after the ceasefire began. The Israelis are still violating the "agreement" for reasons the media is not reporting about. The violations in Lebanon are fueled by imperialistic sentiments among hardcore Israelis, like Bezallel Smotrich, who are seeking the revival of an ancient Jewish empire. Southern Lebanon was part of that empire. However, they are also seeking to include the Bekaa Valley.

On January 16, 2025, the day after the ceasefire was announced but before it was approved, Israelis continued their "war" killing 86 people and injuring over 250 others. Netanyahu just sent the message this way that he doesn't want a ceasefire.

On October 10, 2025, Hamas and the Israelis agreed to a ceasefire, but Netanyahu violated hours after it was announced. He violated the agreement at least 497 times from October 10th to November 22nd.

Private legal issues hidden behind political ones, such as being heavily relied on hardcore members within his government, are Netanyahu's motives to continue seeking ways to keep himself and his wife away from prosecution.
