"If you are accused, blame the victim," is the English translation of the German phrase "Wenn Sie beschuldigt werden, geben Sie dem Opfer die Schuld," from Nazi propaganda minister Josef Goebbels. It is adopted in Zionism as "always blame the victim."
How did the phrase end up among the Israelis?
In 1933, German Ashkenazis struck a deal with the Nazis to have themselves migrated to what was then British Mandatory Palestine. The deal is known as the Haavara deal. In a gesture, these Germans adopted many ideas from the Nazis and brought these with them to pass them on to those who later became Israeli Ashkenazis. Today, nearly half of the Israelis are Ashkenazic. The majority of these Israelis have German-sounding names or have changed their name to Hebrew-sounding names to pretend to be "Jewish." That's where the Israeli "October 7th" lie has its roots.
