When it comes to Gaza, it didn't start on October 7, 2023. It all began on June 5, 1967, leading up to the creation of Hamas by the Israelis themselves in 1987, when they crushed the First Intifada. The Israelis have waged four wars on Gaza and one border massacre since then. In all these years, those who represent the people of Gaza have been trying to end the occupation diplomatically and militarily without any result.
On October 7, 2023, Hamas carried out a resistance attack on the other side of Gaza's land border. What once was a retaliatory invasion by the Israelis ended up two years later in a brazen, all-out destruction of Gaza. The Dahiyah doctrine has been playing a major role in what the Israelis want to achieve: not only pressing Hamas to surrender by targeting everyone and everything that moves and does not move, fueled by the utmost hateful, conflating perception that there are no innocent or uninvolved civilians.
We are working on a sub-project called "The curse of Zionist thinking": a collection of distracting and disinforming statements as well as rhetoric, hasbara language, falsehoods, and abnormal Israeli behavior.
