"Medicide" primarily refers to medically assisted suicide, meaning a suicide facilitated or carried out with a physician's aid. Still, it's a less common term than "physician-assisted suicide," while "Medicaid" (often mistaken for "medicide") is a major U.S. health insurance program for low-income individuals. Another newer usage defines medicide as the deliberate destruction of a healthcare system to harm the sick. 

International law strictly prohibits the deliberate destruction of healthcare systems and facilities to harm the sick. Such actions constitute grave breaches of international humanitarian law (IHL) and are considered war crimes, and in certain circumstances, may amount to crimes against humanity. 

"Coordinator of the Government Activities in the Territories" is a unit within the armed Israeli war belligerent, which claims that it is tasked with the "coordination and facilitation of humanitarian initiatives," in coordination with the international community.

However, our analysis by categorizing Israeli acts and activities affecting humanitarian efforts in Gaza shows that the Israeli armed war belligerent has been resorting to dystopian warfare since October 2023, when the then-defense minister, Yoav Gallant, issued the order of no food, no water, no electricity, and no medicines.

Over the course of the genocidal war, COGAT has employed all kinds of methods and means to turn Gallant's directive into the creation of a dystopia of wretched, dehumanized, fearful lives to make sure that everything is miserable, typically a totalitarian and environmentally degraded one. Targeting the healthcare system by blocking medical aid supplies, destroying hospitals under false pretexts, and kidnapping and or killing medical personnel are the methods and means to target the sick.
