Forced eviction and forced displacement, while related, refer to different scenarios of involuntary relocation.
Forced eviction specifically refers to the removal of people from their homes or private land against their will, often without due process or adequate compensation. Forced displacement, a broader term, encompasses the broader movement of people away from their habitual residences, which can include evictions but also other situations like fleeing conflict.
In Gaza, forced displacement encompasses the removal of (selected) large number of people (at once) from their neighborhoods, entire cities if not a whole regional area (i.e. north, central, south Gaza), which include evictions. These forced removals often go along with attacks while people are going or already on their way. In many cases, people even face attacks at places where they have arrived. It is then called dystopian terrorism by the Israeli military. If people are no longer allowed to return to their homes they were forced to leave, it is then ethnic cleansing.
However, found Israeli documents reveal that there was always the plan to take the whole of Gaza since October 2023. "October 7th" is just a pretext. See at the top of the demo video. So, Netanyahu's announcement from August 7, 2025, isn't new. What is new the next day is that he had to face the military leadership, who were strongly opposed. He was forced to compromise by only taking Gaza City.
But the world didn't see what we've seen. The city is located south of Northern Gaza and stretches from the land border in the east to the beach in the west. If the city has been taken, Netanyahu takes the north automatically, as it is then cut off from the rest of Gaza. People in Gaza City are forced to re-displace themselves, now to Al-Mawasi in Southern Gaza.
Another developments is found in the south where the Israelis were first forcing people to displace themselves from Rafah and Khan Younis to Deir al-Balah then forcing them and the residents of Deir al-Balah to Al-Mawasi, which indicates that the Israelis want to have all people of Gaza into a concentration zone no larger than 50 square kilometers.
This development forced us to replace the demo video about forced eviction, forced displacement, and forced re-displacement but ethnic cleansing.
