The Israelis use various methods and strategies to influence public opinion, primarily in Western countries and through social media.
Most of the information they fabricate and disseminate comes from a military unit called 8200. These fabrications are created using artificial intelligence (AI). They appear truly authentic, which is why you believe them. They have also launched paid advertising campaigns on Google to influence internet users.
The narrative behind is the same narrative known in Zionism: always put the blame on the victim.
Spreading disinformation is also by their leaders and ranges from exploiting the holocaust and the Second World War to merging various (fabricated) information into one, which is known as conflation. Mocking and insulting is a method to influence social media users to fuel (more) hate and antisemitism against Palestinians, but is actually showing abnormal behavior.
Examples showing the effects of Israeli infowar can be found here and here. In July 2025, the Netherlands has added the Israelis to the list of threats to the Dutch democracy and society.
